Pasadena Unified School District is losing $23 million in funding from Sacramento.

A partial list of cuts the district will be forced to make if Measure CC does not pass:

  • Increased class sizes in K–3 from 22–31 students per teacher—a reduction of 82 teachers.
  • Elimination of all school library personnel and closing of all libraries, a reduction of 17 librarians and aides.
  • Elimination of class size reduction in 9th grade math and English, a reduction of 9 teachers.
  • A reduction of 5 counselors at high schools and middle schools.
