Measure CC’s local hero is Antonio Gordo, a painter employed by PUSD.
Antonio has been in to phone bank eight times, and shows no signs of stopping. He makes the majority of his calls to Spanish speakers. When asked why he has volunteered so much of his time, Antonio says simply, “I like to help the community.”
The father of two John Muir High graduates, Antonio has lived in Pasadena for 25 years. He realizes the value of education, and supports Measure CC because it’s “good for kids.”
Antonio is pretty much of a homebody, and describes his pastimes as watching TV and playing softball with his son Tony Gordo. Antonio plays shortstop.
His technique for swaying voters to support Measure CC is to ”just talk to them like you would a friend.”
This Saturday, though, Antonio is sacrificing softball to Walk for Measure CC.
Come join Antonio this Saturday to help make a difference for Pasadena’s kids, and sign up for the Walk for Measure CC today!
